In order to understand why Super Matroid Heater is the technology that will revolutionize the industry, we must first understand one of the challenges facing EOR processes: Our years of research made it clear that steam quality is one of the main parameters within heat recovery projects, as it is a direct measure of the efficiency of the process of heat transmission to highly viscous crude oil fields. The essence of enhanced oil recovery projects is focused on affecting residual oil saturation and thereby achieving a significant increase in the hydrocarbon recovery factor in heavy oil fields. The effectiveness of the heat transfer process to the reservoir is directly proportional to the quality of the steam obtained during injection under its different schemes. Therefore, obtaining high steam qualities above 80% is strictly necessary. 

The particular conditions of highly dense hydrocarbon accumulation present challenges of a very high technical level and conventional OTSG generators have certain limitations in their design and operation that limit the achievement of these quality values. To address this technological challenge, Nakasawa has developed the Super Matroid Heater technology which allows to deliver 95% quality at the equipment outlet, generating dry steam without loss of condensate and avoiding the generation of effluents or loss of mass. This results in obtaining 12% extra heat and 15% more quality steam, which increases the profits of the oil produced and consequently translates into a projection of higher income.

The complete system is compact and is installed on a platform adjacent to the steam generator, which also makes the technology easily transportable, thus facilitating its transfer to wells from urban areas. 

Overall, Super Matroid Heater is undoubtedly a product that responds to the DNA of Nakasawa Resources. The product aspires to innovation and responds to the challenges of the industry, as it presents an increase in productivity of 12 to 15%, compared to conventional technology of 80%. Moreover, the Super Matroid Heater ensures savings in operation, fuel gas supply and lower volume of treated water.
